What does Providence look like in the world today? By the end of this blog, I want you to both understand what Providence is and what it means to you in your life right now.
Providence is whenever something seemingly negative happens, but God makes something good out of it. He redeems it for good. What the enemy meant for evil God turns around for good – that’s Providence.
The idea is that no matter what happens to us in our lives – God’s got us. If you’re struggling, He’s going to turn it around. You might have seen the Bible verse Romans 8:28 on bumper stickers. I highly recommend that you commit the verse to memory. Here it is for you:
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
A lot of people hang their hats on this verse. It tells us no matter what’s going on, no matter what we do, God is going to make it OK. Now, let me share Romans 8:18
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
I feel like that’s the more powerful verse. Think about your present sufferings. What’s happening in your life? Maybe you’re having trouble making bills. Maybe you’re having trouble seeing your dreams through. If you’re having trouble with your health or finances, He’s speaking to you. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth even comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. I think the word choice is interesting there. I talk more about that in the short video at the top of this blog.
One challenge for a lot of people right now is to stop judging other people and their relationship with God. When we stop watching what God’s will is for other people and focus on what His will is for us, we can understand how Providence works in our lives. We need to have a big vision for our lives. Check out this short blog to find your vision.
We understand that the glory is revealed in us, through us, to the outside world. If you’re concerned, get on your knees. If you feel like there’s no way out, get on your knees. Draw close to Him. God wants this from you. He’s literally here waiting for you.
I love you so much
Martha
