Who do you serve? That is one of the most important questions you can answer when building your business. The best way to determine who you should serve is to think about a time in your life when you were struggling. We’ve all had times when we were up until 2am googling a problem we had to figure out. As we successfully move through major problems, we learn a ton. The gift of that struggle is that we can turn around and serve others that are just starting to experience the problem you’ve already solved.
We are simply serving a previous version of ourselves. That is just one of the reasons I suggest that when life is rough on us, we don’t just sit and think woe is me. Mindset is so important. We all know people who stay stuck. They never move forward. Instead of getting stuck, I suggest you think about what you can learn and eventually share with others. Who you have around you can make all the difference and I wrote about that in this short blog.
When we are able to learn from our struggles and help other people come through similar situations – that’s when we are truly serving.
That is also when our businesses will grow. It’s the coolest thing. Imagine using what we learn from our difficult experiences to help others feel seen, heard, loved, and supported. I literally live this day in and day out. When we inject that kind of goodwill into the world on a daily basis everything changes for the better.
The reason I’m writing this today is so you to so you can figure out who you will serve. That is when you will start to inject goodwill into the world on a daily basis. When you offer to support people as they work through their challenges– you’re doing something special. I talk more about that in the short video at the top of this blog.
